Inter‐laboratory Characterisation of Apatite Reference Materials for Oxygen Isotope Analysis and Associated Methodological Considerations

چکیده

Here we report on the oxygen isotope compositions of four proposed apatite reference materials (chlorapatite MGMH#133648 and fluorapatite specimens MGMH#128441A, MZ-TH, ES-MM). The samples were initially screened for 18O/16O homogeneity using secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) followed by δ18O determinations in six gas source ratio laboratories (GS-IRMS) employing a variety analytical protocols determining either phosphate-bonded or “bulk” compositions. We also preliminary δ17O Δ’17O data, major trace element collected EPMA as well CO32- OH- contents structure assessed thermogravimetric analysis infrared spectroscopy. repeatability our SIMS measurements was better than ± 0.25 ‰ (1s) all that cover wide range 103δ18O values between +5.8 +21.7. GS-IRMS results show, however, significant offset “phosphate” analyses could not be correlated with chemical characteristics studied samples. Therefore, provide two sets working specific to these classes methodologies current data calibration.

Accurate, reliable and reproducible quantification of nucleic acids (DNA/RNA) is important for many diagnostic applications and in routine laboratory testing, for example, for pathogen detection and detection of genetically modified organisms in food. To ensure reliable nucleic acid measurement, reference materials (RM) that are accurately characterised for quantity of target nucleic acid seque...

Revised delta34S reference values for IAEA sulfur isotope reference materials S-2 and S-3.

Revised delta(34)S reference values with associated expanded uncertainties (95% confidence interval (C.I.)) are presented for the sulfur isotope reference materials IAEA-S-2 (22.62 +/- 0.16 per thousand) and IAEA-S-3 (-32.49 +/- 0.16 per thousand). These revised values are determined using two relative-difference measurement techniques, gas source isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GIRMS) and dou...

Origin and evolution of ore-forming fluids in the magnetite±apatite Lake Siah deposit (Bafq): Evidence of fluid inclusions and oxygen stable isotope

The Lake Siah magnetite ± apatite deposit is situated in the northeastern of Bafq and Central Iran tectonic zone. The host rock of deposit is composed from lower Cambrian volcano-sedimentary sequence that has exposed as caldera complex. The iron mineralization is as massive ore and includes magnetite and hematite which form with apatite, quartz and calcite gangue minerals. Based on fluid inclus...

Analysis of neurological dysphonias: methodological considerations

This paper provides a short introduction to the various methods available for the analysis of the voice of dysphonic patients suffering from neurological disorders. Both auditory-perceptual ratings as well as conventional acoustic perturbation measures are of limited relevance to the specific characterization of patient groups. However, the addition of further techniques such as electroglottogr...
